Hey! My name is Allison Fortner and welcome to my blog! I was born and raised in Virginia Beach, Virginia. I am currently attending VCU as a Sophomore and have a major in Fashion Merchandising. I have always enjoyed fashion due to my parents really caring about how they dressed and presented themselves. This also has become really important to me. Since I lived in the beach for most of my life I grew up wearing clothes from a variety of surf shops, such as, WRV, 17th Street, and Coastal Edge. My favorite clothing brand at the moment would be Billabong. I love the relaxed look and feel of the clothes.
I would love to be a buyer and work for a company like that in the future. I want to bring more ideas to the table and be more inclusive in the surf shop world. One thing I will always take away from my childhood is that, “It is better to overdress, than to underdress.” My mother has told me this time and time again and I use the quote everyday when I get dressed. As I continue my education in Fashion I will be going to Tokyo this Summer to expand my knowledge in the field in one of the biggest fashion capitals of the world!
